Chris Wootten

President Director of ILC Indonesia, having set up and established the company in early 2001.
Executive Director of ILC and is currently establishing ILC’s Singapore office to cater to our growing number of clients in South East Asia.

Chris has lived in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Indonesia for 20 years and now spends the majority of his time between Jakarta, Bali and Singapore. He has formal qualifications in the fields of accountancy as well as tourism, travel and leisure management.

Experience in Asia: Since 1992

• Experienced developer and operator of leisure facilities. Opening General Manger for several Leisure properties; Golf Clubs, City Clubs, Country Clubs and Hotels.

• General Manager for Cengkareng Golf Club, Jakarta, One of South East Asia’s busiest 18 hole golf operations, which opened in 1999. Responsible for strategic and conceptual planning, membership sales, development and implementation of operating systems. Oversaw pre-opening, design and development phases as well as the first two operating years of the club.

• Formerly General Manager of a number of successful private clubs in the Asia Pacific region; golf; city/ athletic and business clubs, mainly for CCA International. These included Mercantile Club Jakarta, Bankers Club Kuala Lumpur, Macau Golf & Country Club, Imperial Golf Club, Finna Golf & Country Club and The Exchange Club  Medan

• Initially Chris worked as an accountant in the UK, before entering the hotel industry with Hilton International and Sun International.

Leisure Interest:

Chris enjoys exploring the cultures and cuisines of Asia and has an interest in the world of wine. He enjoys a good novel or movie and is an avid golfer, social cricketer and retired footballer. Spending significant time now in Bali allows him to enjoy reef snorkelling and fishing. Chris’ Wife, Isma, owns and runs an established Golf event and tour company. He is married with 2 daughters.
